Sunday Reset: London Fields & New York Fashion Week

Join us each week as we explore what’s shaping our world in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and culture. Through the lens of our team, The Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T. is a curated reflection on what we’re reading, eating, purchasing, obsessing over, recommending, and treating ourselves to!

What We’re Reading This Week

London Fields, Martin Amis

If you want to laugh: London Fields, Martin Amis
Both a black comedy and an inverted mystery novel, London Fields employs a colorful cast of both aristocratic and working class characters, all behaving badly. Told with acidic wit by an utterly unreliable narrator, this convoluted tale is so multilayered, that the “whodunit” moment becomes its least interesting revelation.

Madonna in a Fur Coat, Sabahattin Ali

If you want to cry: Madonna in a Fur Coat, Sabahattin Ali
This 1943 Turkish novel explores the tragic love between our two main characters in 1920’s Berlin. Full of yearning and solitude, it will stay with you long after you’ve finished reading.

What We’re Purchasing

Diaspora Co Spices: Quality spices can truly take any dish to the next level. However, most spices leave a lot to be desired, either from a flavor perspective or due to sustainability. Diaspora Co. sources spices from all over the world, with a focus on sustainable farms that pay workers a living wage. A quick refresh for your spice cabinet makes a huge difference. Not sure where to start? We love the Baraka Cardamom or the Pahadi Pink Garlic

Eighth Day The Regenerative Serum: If you are considering botox, or trying to stretch out the time before your next appointment, look no further. This serum was formulated by a dermatologic surgeon, and contains a patented proprietary technology called “Peptide-Rich Plasma”, which is a bioidentical blend of 24 peptides, growth factors and amino acids. Long story short- this product works exceptionally well.

Leatherology Monogrammed XL Train case: Beautiful, chic and functional. Available in a myriad of colors (and croc texture if you’re feeling adventurous), this leather train case can hold everything in your beauty routine with room to spare. Monogram with your initials for a personalized touch, and prepare to be more glamorous than everyone else.

What We’re Obsessing Over

TWP at NYFW:

Versatile, polished and sharply tailored, the fashion line TWP never disappoints. Not only were the clothes absolutely stunning, but the model’s beautiful skin was prepped by our very own Danuta Mieloch with her clean beauty line, Danucera.

The models were prepped with the 5 Step Danucera Ritual:

1. CLEANSE, CERABALM

A proper cleanse removes makeup, pollution, and buildup without stripping the barrier.

2. TONE, D22 TONIC

Toning rebalances, hydrates, calms, and prepares the skin to absorb what comes next.

3. TREAT, MEGA SERUM

This is where transformation happens: concentrated actives to improve tone, texture, and overall skin health.

4. MOISTURIZE, CREAM SUPREME

Hydration is protection. A strong barrier is the secret to resilient, luminous skin.

5. EYE, ICONIC EYE CREAM

The eye area ages faster than any other part of the face. Daily care here is preventative, not cosmetic.

What We’re Recommending

Duchamp Brothers & Sister Exhibit

The Philadelphia Museum of Art contains the largest collection of works by artist Marcel Duchamp, which is more than enough of a reason to visit. However, most people don’t know that his 3 siblings were also extremely talented.

"One of Marcel Duchamp’s two older brothers, Jacques Villon, was a painter and printmaker, and the other, Raymond Duchamp-Villon, was a sculptor. Together with Marcel, they gained notice as members of the Cubist group in 1912. Their sister Suzanne Duchamp, a painter, launched Tabu, an offshoot of the Dada movement, in 1920. The installation Duchamp Brothers & Sister presents works by all four Duchamp siblings, offering visitors a chance to explore these artists’ interconnected lives and works (Philadelphia Museum of Art, n.d.)."

Baccarat Hotel & Bar

Danuta: "Every now and then I like to make the treck uptown for my favorite bars and restaurants, and Baccarat happens to be one of them!
