Sunday Reset: Sculptures, Serums & Slow Sips

Join us each week as we explore what’s shaping our world in beauty, wellness, lifestyle, and culture. Through the lens of our team, The Weekly R.E.P.O.R.T. is a curated reflection on what we’re reading, eating, purchasing, obsessing over, recommending, and treating ourselves to!

What We’re Reading This Week

Vermeer: A Life Lost and Found by Andrew Graham-Dixon

A gorgeous, page-turning biography of Vermeer, the Dutch master behind some of the most subtly breathtaking paintings ever made. If you've ever stood in front of one of his works and felt something you couldn't quite explain, this book finally gives you the language for it. Drawing on newly discovered archival research, art historian Andrew Graham-Dixon digs into who Vermeer actually was: not the mysterious recluse history made him out to be, but a man deeply shaped by the wars and religious upheaval of his time. A book for anyone who loves art, history, or simply a beautifully told human story.

Secret Language of Victorian Jewelry by Amy Azzarito

Turns out your jewelry has been saying more than you think. This charming guide decodes the hidden Victorian meanings behind more than sixty of the motifs we still wear today: hearts, butterflies, pearls, buckles, and beyond. The heart earrings from Claire's? Traced back to Queen Victoria's mourning wardrobe. Grandma’s butterfly brooch? A symbol of immortality. Written with a wry, playful tone and packed with stunning visuals, it's the kind of book that makes you look at everything in your jewelry box differently, and makes gift-giving a lot more fun.

What We’re Eating

Palm Vintage in Philadelphia

Palm Vintage blends Philadelphia’s historic charm with Miami’s relaxed coastal energy, creating a space that feels both elevated and welcoming. From the café atmosphere to the thoughtful details throughout, it’s the kind of place designed for slowing down and enjoying the experience.

During a recent visit, we tried an iced coffee with chocolate syrup and a vanilla matcha. The coffee was smooth and balanced without being overly sweet, while the matcha tasted fresh and well-crafted. We also shared the Palm Vintage salad, which was light, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by sweet apple slices and well-cooked chicken.

Before leaving, we grabbed a chocolate croissant to enjoy later that evening, and it made the perfect sweet treat to end the day. Overall, Palm Vintage offers a refined yet relaxed experience that feels intentional from start to finish.

What We’re Purchasing

Plated Skin Science Intense Serum

Powered by over one trillion platelet-derived exosomes, it targets pretty much every visible sign of aging at once (think fine lines, dark spots, dullness, loss of firmness, uneven texture) and keeps working the longer you use it. Think of it as a serious reset for skin that's feeling tired, stressed, or stuck. Clinically studied, suitable for all skin types including sensitive, and the kind of results you can truly see. We're obsessed.

Manucurist Paris Active Glow

We don't often get excited about nail products. This one changed that. Manucurist Paris Active Glow just landed at Rescue Spa and it's already living on our desks and nightstands. A nourishing treatment that strengthens and revives nails while giving them that polished, healthy shine, minimal effort required. Skincare logic, now applied to your nails.

Soft Goat Silk Singlet

The Soft Goat Silk Singlet is one of those rare pieces that solves the "I have nothing to wear" problem permanently. Impossibly soft, effortlessly elegant, and the kind of quality you feel the second you put it on. Alone, layered, dressed up or down, it just works. Some things earn their place quickly and this is one of them.

What We’re Obsessing Over

Té Company Tea:

Meet Té Company, a tea house sourcing directly from Taiwanese tea farmers. Every tea tells you exactly where it came from and who grew it. No mystery, no middleman, just exceptional tea with real provenance.

We're particularly taken with their Mount A-Li, a roasted oolong from Ali Shan, one of Taiwan's most celebrated tea-growing mountains, home to ancient red cypress trees over 2,000 years old. The tea lives up to its surroundings. Made with the milk oolong cultivar, it opens with a buttery, brioche-like aroma that feels more French patisserie than mountain forest. Roasted chestnut, nougat, both subtle and extraordinary. The kind of cup that makes you slow down and savor the moment.

What We’re Recommending

Leonora Carrington: Shape of Dreams Exhibit

On view May 8 through July 25 at L'SPACE Gallery: Shape of Dreams, a rare U.S. presentation of sculpture by Leonora Carrington, one of the most singular artists of the 20th century.

Best known for her paintings, Carrington worked across mediums, and her bronze sculptures carry the same mythological richness: hybrid figures, symbolic animals, beings that exist somewhere between the human and the spiritual. These sculptures translate her visionary world into three dimensions in a way that feels both intimate and monumental.

The exhibition also includes an interactive Tarot Reading Booth delivering readings from the deck she designed herself. It is a little detail that perfectly aligns with an artist who famously said she wasn't painting dreams or nightmares, just her own reality.

Treatment Highlight

Treat yourself to one of the best facials in the world.

Rescue Spa was recently featured in The Daily Front Row, and the story says it all.

Founder and esthetician Danuta Mieloch has spent over 3 decades building something the industry has tried to replicate but never matched. A true pioneer, she introduced technologies like microcurrent, LED, and advanced manual lifting techniques long before they became mainstream. The result is a philosophy grounded in real transformation, not trends. Every facial blends manual sculpting with advanced technology for visible results. Never fluff, always transformation.

But the difference goes deeper than technique. Every client leaves with a personalized prescription and the knowledge to maintain their results at home.
