Collection: Aquatic & Marine Fragrances
Aquatic and marine fragrances smell of sea air, salt, and ozone, and the family exists because of a single molecule that reached fine fragrance in the early 1990s.
Calone gave perfumers a way to suggest sea spray and watermelon freshness at the same time, and the fragrances built on it went on to define a decade. The family works through ozonic notes, which capture the charged smell of air after lightning, alongside salt, mineral accords, and driftwood. Light musks and ambrette usually sit underneath to give the effect staying power, since the freshness on its own would disappear within the hour.

Aquatic scents read clean, modern, and unisex, and they perform best in heat and humidity where richer families turn heavy. This is a straightforward entry point if you want something noticeable but not sweet.
